Further Arrests Made Over Copied Goods Crackdown

Following last months raid on TUKCOM, Pattaya Police have continued their crackdown on counterfeit goods and have arrested two female suspects, Miss Waree Urat aged 40 and Mrs Angkhana Thongchai aged 30, involved in a pirated CD and DVD business confiscated more than three million baht worth of copied CD’S & DVD’S.

3 million dollars ransom drops in for Somali pirates

The seizure by Somali pirates of the largest ship ever hijacked was dramatically ended yesterday when a ransom of $3 million (£2 million) was dropped by parachute from a lowfying aircraft on to its deck.

 
China sends navy to fight Somali pirates

Three Chinese naval ships, armed with Special Forces, helicopters and missiles, are on their way to join the international anti-piracy task force patrolling the waters off Somalia.
