Ranong, Thailand (AP) U.N. officials were allowed to meet on Thursday with boat people detained by Thailand and interviewed a dozen migrants as young as 14 about their perilous journey and allegations they were abused.

Thailand to Allow U.N. Access to 66 Refugees

BANGKOK: Thailand said Thursday that it would grant the United Nations access to 66 migrants convicted of illegally entering the country by sea, following allegations that Thai officials had earlier abused asylum seekers beached on its shores.
