New Regulations Will Affect Industry on Eastern Seaboard

Thailand’s Cabinet on has approved the revision of ministerial regulations on environmental and health impact assessments of industrial projects, deputy government spokesman Phumin Leetheeraprasert said. These regulations will adversely impact industrial development in the Eastern Seaboard, particularly Map Ta Phut projects.

The Government recently announced new rules and regulations for hotel operators that will take effect from May 22. Establishment that charges a cheaper room on a nightly basis than a monthly basis must register their establishment as a hotel within one year.
