Public and private sector join forces for good

On their day off, leaders of the Pattaya Immigration Police and the editors of the Pattaya Times spent the morning together at Wat Nongprue. During the course of the morning many of the joint efforts of the Pattaya Times staff and the Immigration Police to inform the public in a positive way were discussed and the subject of the Foreign Police Volunteers (FPV) was also discussed.

At the temple called Wat Nongprue in Banglamung District Pattaya Immigration Police Colonel Anonnat Kamolrat presided over the ordination ceremony of 59 Buddhists, age 9 to 50, who will enter the temple for 30 days.

Crackdown on Business Visa Issuance

In an exclusive interview with the Pattaya Times, Police Major Anonnat Kamolrat, the new Superintendent of Pattaya Immigration said one of his top priorities is to crack down on the improper issuance of business visas for foreigners under 50-years-old, who are not actually conducting business.
