New dinosaur-era turtle species found in Mukdahan

Two 150-million-year-old turtle fossils recently found in north-east Thailand have been classified as a new Jurassic-era species, clinching the kingdom's claim to land-turtle ancestry in South-East Asia, media reports said recently.

BEIJING, China (AP) Left on their own by adults, the young dinosaurs sank into the mud beside a lake and died 90 million years ago in what would become the Gobi Desert.
