Thai prime minister visits Vietnam to talk about global economic crisis, boost ties

A spokesman says the prime ministers of Thailand and Vietnam, which are important trading partners, met Friday to discuss how to address the global economic crisis.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has unveiled a multi-pronged strategic marketing campaign for 2009-10 that will build on the country’s long-standing strengths such as its geographical location, value for money factor, good image and excellent range of products and services.

While the real estate sector has been hard hit by the downturn amid the global financial crisis, Pattaya’s real estate market is exhibiting strong signs of recovery. There are some problems with projects that have been heavily advertised but never got off the ground – at least yet. But many other projects in Naklua, Na Jomtien and the Pratamnak Hill area and Central Pattaya near Carrefour and The Avenue shopping centers are doing very well.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) Mortgage loan delinquency rates rose for the seventh quarter in a row to hit 3.96%, according to a report out on Monday. That’s a 12% increase from the second quarter’s 3.53% average.
