Rare New Species Discovered in Greater MekongStaff Reporter 06.11.2009 | Jomtien beach scenery renovationKarun Khanijou 15.07.2009 |
A bird eating fanged frog, a gecko that looks like it’s from another planet and a bird which would rather walk than fly, are among the 163 new species discovered in the Greater Mekong region last year that are now at risk of extinction due to climate change, says a new report launched by WWF ahead of UN climate talks in Bangkok. | Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Ekasingh, Pattaya Council Member, President of Pattaya Beach Association Mr. Amnuay Somphong, and Pattaya officials attended a meeting to discuss Jomtien Beach’s renovation issues. Pattaya officials who brought cranes and mowers to uproot unkempt plants, trees and objects\ to improve the geographical landscape of the beach initiated the renovation. |

You may be rewarded with a glimpse of a beautiful butterfly, an unusual bee, a centipede, a frog, a lizard, a snake, a rodent, a humming bird, or other lovely feathered friend. | |
