Regional Electricity Seminar 2009

An Industrial Electric User’s Seminar 2009 was recently held at the Ambassador City Hotel Jomtien chaired by Regional Electricity Assistant Director, Pongsakorn Tantivanichanon.

Pattaya is one of only four areas in Thailand participating in a unique program where electricity users can add as much money as they want into a new Smart Meter Card to prepay this reoccurring expense and at the same time check how much of their electric power is being use or wasted, announced Mr. Narit Srinuan Deputy Governor of Provincial Electricity Authority said at the opening ceremony of the Prepayment Meter Plan introduction provided by Regional Electricity Authority recently.

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand said this week that the state might not reap any benefits from promoting wind-power generating plants due to limitations of the current technology.
