Siam Commercial Bank has opened a new branch at the Tesco Lotus on North Pattaya Road.

The Crown Property Bureau plants 8,000 Trees for HM the Queen

8,000 trees were recently planted in order to offer merit to HM the Queen. The tree planting project was conducted by The Crown Property Bureau in association with its three networking organizations: the Siam Commercial Company, Siam Cement Group and Tewet Assurance Company. The 8,000 trees were planted on an approximately 40 rai area. The project was part of HM the Queen’s goal to complete eight million tree plantings aimed at returning an abundant ecosystem to the environment and community.

The first batch of government savings bonds for older Thais has been lifted up from 15 billion baht to 30 billion baht because of the heavy demand of old Thais forward to an alternative money saving option provided by Thai government. Therefore, the government need to reach the demand by lifting up a bond value, said Korn Chatikavanij, a minister of finance.

Following numerous complaints, Thai banks may cut foreigners’ ATM transaction fees

The Thai Bankers' Association will ask local banks to cut fee charges for foreign cardholders using local ATMs, according to association secretary-general Twatchai Yongkittikul. He said the TBA would hold talks among its member’s banks about current fees. Among the member banks are Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and Kasikorn Bank.
