Two Royal Thai Navy assault boats simulate firing upon a fishing boat. U.S. Sailors from Riverine Squadron One and Thai sailors from the Royal Thai Navy Riverine Squadron participated in the scenario together during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2011.

Rear Admiral Surapong Aisayanont, U-Tapao Assistant Director, and his crews met with Pattaya City Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome on September 3 at the Pattaya City Hall, to discuss U-Tapao scenery development as well as the upgrading of U-Tapao as a commercial airport.
