Pattaya and Naklua celebrate Songkran with Enthusiasm Despite Political Chaos

This year’s Songkran festival in Pattaya and Naklua started with local residents and tourists visiting Thai temples to pay respect to monks. The people then proceeded to the streets to start the water splashing celebration, putting aside their worries of the current political debacle.

Naklua Oceanfront Barrier Needs Repair

Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Wuttisak Rermkitjakarn along with Pattaya City members and officers from the Public Works Office visited the Wong Amart beach to investigate the concrete barrier that is used to block beach water from eroding the sand and discovered that many parts of the concrete were damaged. They are now looking for a professional designer to find a solution to fix the problem.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Mr. Wattana Chantanawaranon has recently held discussions regarding developing the Naklua area as a sustainable tourism attraction in the future. Government officials, representatives from the Naklua community and relevant parties participated in the discussions.

Reports in international newspapers and on websites that the disco where the influenza A (H1N1) virus sickened 19 people - two from Taiwan - was located on Walking Street are now found to be false. The disco was miles away in Naklua.

The grand opening of CPAC Concrete Service Center

The constructional service center of CPAC Concrete Company was recently opened in Pattaya area, located in Sukhumvit Road, Naklua, Banglamung, and Chonburi. The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Phinyo Harnsrilawat, CPAC Eastern Managing Director.
