Hard Rock Café, Pattaya, recently celebrated its ninth birthday under a ‘Super Star’ theme where guests, along with the staff, dressed up as famous characters. Captain Jack Sparrow, Star Wars Jedi and Dracula were seen bobbing their heads to the music being played live by American band Centric. The ‘famous’ guests along with staff, also known as the ‘rockers’, then later joined in to cut the massive hamburger-shaped cake. | |

Residents of The Village, on Pattaya Third Road and many residents around the area have recently filed a complaint regarding loud music during the night caused by three entertainment venues: Phuket, Chidlom, and Tanglak. These venues are located beside The Village and have produced an unacceptable level of loud music. The residents said that they have to take sleeping pills to fall asleep, as a result of the high decibel disturbances | For the past hour or so I have been sitting on the concrete steps that lead to the water’s edge overlooking the ocean. I have been motionless for several minutes watching the sun creep slowly behind the clouds that hang low in the Western sky.
