The turnout for the new Naklua Walking Street was beyond everyones highest expectations and was so sucessful that a meeting at Pattaya City Hall was required to plan improvements to cope with the high turnout.

On November 2, Pattaya City hosted a traditional "Loy Krathong Festival". Thais and foreigners, alike, were delighted by the colors and lights that were an essential ingredient of the festival.

Chonburi Governor Mr. Senee Jittakasem recently presided over the opening religious ceremony of Buddhist Lent – a traditional Buddhism event usually held during the first day of the waning moon of the 8th lunar month.

The underlying logic and science behind the famous rocket festival, scheduled for 8 to 10 May, in the unassuming northeast town of Yasothon, is not found in chemistry laboratories but is instead traced back to the mythical belief of mystical skies ruled by gods.

Pattaya World Fair is under consideration by Pattaya City and may be held in August. There will be a number of stages for live performances of traditional and modern Thai dancing and music.
