Thailand to Participate in UN's Marathon for Peace on October 31

Thailand’s Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva recently announced that Thailand will participate in the UN’s Marathon for Peace, to be held on October 31 starting at 6:00 am. The marathon will start at the United Nations Asia Pacific Building on Ratchadamnern Klang Road in Bangkok. The event is limited to ten thousand people.

CHIANG RAI, Thailand — Recently, over 200 villagers from Chiang Rai, Chiang Khong, and Ubon Ratchathani recently gathered along the Mekong River to harmoniously build sandbag walls to prevent further erosion.
