Nissan Launches Thailand’s First Eco Car

Siam Nissan Automobile Co (SNA) has launched Thailand’s frst locally produced eco car, the Nissan March. SNA president Toru Hasegawa said Nissan March is a small vehicle with a 1,200 cc three-cylinder engine with carbon dioxide emissions less than 120 grammes and able to use fuel more effcienty by up to 20 kilometres per litre.

The national car racing “Thailand Super Car 2009” held at Bira International Circuit has been completed. The racing on last Sat-Sunday July 11-12 attracted thousands of spectators. The “Altis” car from TOYOTA driven by racer No. 39 Nattawut Charoensukawattana was expected to be the winner of this race. The race had a small accident when the driver of No. 43 Artit Ruengsomboon’ car lost control just a few minutes after the start of the race.
