Her Majesty Queen Anne Marie and Princess Theodora of Greece were recently in Pattaya for a vacation. During their stay in Pattaya the royals paid a visit to many of Pattaya’s tourist destinations, notably Pattaya Floating Market.

The 9th Sepak Takraw Pattaya Cup recently kicked off in which teams from all over the Thailand are competed to win the trophy in honour of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsavali. Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Ekasing said, “I want to promote and support all kinds of sports to make Pattaya famous for its sporting venues along with its already popular nightlife. I also want to encourage the young takraw players in Pattaya to be confident to compete in national level. With over 105 teams participating, the competition is going to tough.”

Locals and Tourists Gather to ‘Say No to Violence Against Women’

For the first time ever a parade was held on Pattaya Beach Road to support Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha ‘Say No to Violence Against Women’ Campaign which was organized by the Department of Peoples’ Rights Protection and Legal Aid Pattaya Office together with Pattaya City. The day was filled with students who came dressed up in Thai costumes holding up signs to promote the campaign. There were also other locals and tourists who came to join in on the event.
