Sky Train Network Expanded to Relieve Bangkok Traffic

Twelve new trains recently arrived at Laemchabang Port near Pattaya which will be added to the Bangkok Mass Transit System known as the ‘BTS’. The new trains will be able to transport up to 500,000 additional passengers per day.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has given the green light to free electricity, train and bus fares from July 1 until the end the year for people on low incomes. In addition, Prime Minister Abhisit is also discussing maintaining the price of LPG gas and NGV until the end of February next year.
