Bangkok Bank is now offering Internet banking for its foreign currency deposit (FCD) account holders. They’re the first and only bank to offer this 24 hour service.

Bangkok Bank offers ‘Step Plus’ with new fix deposit interest rate at 1.50%

Bangkok Bank has introduced ‘Step Plus’, a new fixed deposit account offering increasing interest rates, from 1.00 percent per annum to 1.50 percent per annum, over a period of 18 months. Interest will be paid every six months. Customers can enjoy the offer by opening an account with a minimum deposit of Baht 50,000 from now until July 20, 2009.

The Thai Bankers' Association will ask local banks to cut fee charges for foreign cardholders using local ATMs, according to association secretary-general Twatchai Yongkittikul. He said the TBA would hold talks among its member’s banks about current fees. Among the member banks are Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and Kasikorn Bank.
