Power of Attorney in Thailand by Drew Noyes

Hi Drew,
My Thai wife of 14 years has been in a coma for the past two weeks. She is not expected to survive. My thoughts are now turning to the future especially as our house is in her name. She has made a will which is lodged at the Nai Amphur as you suggested at an expats meeting last year.
She is still in a coma and seems to be going into a vegetative state. So my question is;

Buying a Thai Company to Own the House by Drew Noyes

What can PAPPA Co Ltd Law Office do to help me buy an existing company that owns a house?

Agreements Between Husband and Wife in Thailand Can Be Cancelled (See category ASK DREW NOYES for more legal articles)

A question about Andrew Drummond's claim that a 30-year lease was illegally cancelled by a Thai wife
was asked in the column Ask Drew Noyes and published in Pattaya Times Newspaper September 1, 2011. Now a man claiming to be the real Mangus Evans is creating fake profiles to defend the false claims of Andrew Drummond. It is important for foreigners to know a Thai spouse can cancel any agreement with the other spouse while married or for a year after divorced so don't sign leases on property or other agreements with your Thai spouse without seeing us at PAPPA Co., ltd. Law first.
The original letter to "ASk drew Noyes" from the real Mangus Evans:

Dear Mr. Noyes,

I read a blog post someone forwarded to me and I thought it was a joke. But my friend said, “No, it’s serious.” It’s by a wanker named Andrew Drummond and is called, “Farmer Joe loses water-tight 30-year lease in Thailand.” It is a miserable account of how a Brit was cheated by his wife and lawyer.

It is so bad, the guy Drummond claims the British officials are coming here to Thailand just to investigate how Thailand is unjust to foreigners here as evidenced by the cheating of a British citizen in Thailand.

Andrew Drummond also says the guy should get half of the property and none of the debt when he divorces his wife, but, even to me as a hotel manager, that does not seem correct.

Can you shed some light on the truth?

Thank you and I always read your column first.

Mangus Evans

Additionally, when presents like gold or a house (amazing what we are willing to give that special Thai!) are given this sometimes raises the concern that a gift tax will somehow be invoked. Both inheritance taxes and gift taxes are common in Western countries so these are reasonable concerns.

Purchasing a Condominium in Thailand by Drew Noyes

Dear Mr Noyes,

As things sometimes go, she became pregnant. Suffering from homesickness and a desire to see her family she wanted to go home before the pregnancy progressed to the point she couldn’t travel. Only problem was that her immigration status was not yet finalized. We get her parole to travel, and off she goes. My name is Jeff and I purchased a 2002 Harley Davidson Road King that was on consignment at Ironhorse Pattaya in April right before Songkran. At the time of purchase I was told that Ironhorse would take care of all the paperwork for the title transfer. This did not happen.

Ask Drew-Marriage and Multiple Entry Visa

Dear Drew,

My Thai girlfriend and I had a Thai wedding ceremony in her village about 8 years ago but we are not legally married - i.e. not registered at any Amphur. Just had the Thai wedding ceremony only.
