Foreign Visitors in 2009 Reaches 14 Million as Targeted

Thailand's tourism industry, which provides thousands of jobs both directly and indirectly and has been much affected by domestic political conflicts and the global economic slowdown, has now recovered with about 14 million foreign tourists visiting the Kingdom in 2009 as earlier targeted, according to Minister of Tourism and Sports Chumphon Silpa-archa.

TAT Welcomes Tourist Agents from Hong Kong

One hundred and two representatives from tourist agencies in Hong Kong were warmly welcomed to our fair city by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Pattaya Office, in association with the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.

Mr. Wirasak Kowsurat, Ex-minister of Tourism and Sports joined together with the previous director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand to point out 10 ways to turn Pattaya into a designated tourist destination.

The Eastern Hotel Association led by Mr. Chatchawan Supachayanon and the association’s members recently conducted their seventh annual meeting at the Sunbeam Hotel, Pattaya. Pattaya TAT Office Director Mr. Niti Kongkrut also attended the event.

Residence of Naklua and the surrounding areas carefully listens to the announcement of the plan about the Naklua Old Town Project.

The Naklua Old Town Project is being planned and developed by Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome as another tourism attraction for tourists to enjoy when completed

Celebrate Halloween at Horseshoe Point Resort

Pattaya Players (home of Pattaya's Professional Amateurs) is proud to announce its second annual Halloween Haunted Ghost Tour entitled, "Spooks, Spirits and Specters!" on Saturday, October 31, 2009. This chillingly haunting script was written by local Pattaya residents, Christopher Parsons and Ray Light brown. Parsons will also be directing the haunted tour. "Spooks, Spirits and Specters!" takes unsuspecting spectators on a 30 minute guided walking tour of Horseshoe Point's breathtaking Three Kingdoms Park, highlighting ghost stories from all around the world. At each stop, the macabre Tour Guides will retell the legends of ghostly visitations and other scary tales of infamous poltergeists and hunted happening, while the Pattaya Players troupe members portray the sinister specters!

One of the many fascinating hot-air balloons that was featured in last year’s International Balloon Fiesta.

Pattaya City, in conjunction with the Provincial Administration Office, Sport Flying Association (Thailand) and the Mongkol Chanel will present the third International Balloon Fiesta 2009 at the Learning Resort, Tahmmasat University Pattaya, from December 10th to 13th.
