Minister of Thailand Transport Portal Sophon Sarum recently paid a visit to check up on the logistic system of the Eastern Seaboard and laid down a few rules to strengthen the safety of land, air, and sea transportation.

Now that Thai society and government has become more accepting of foreigners as prominent residents and business owners in Pattaya in the last 10 years, our list of the Most Influential People of the Last 10 Years includes many foreigners side-by-side with Thai political, charitable, social and business leaders.

The authorities have selected a new governor after the problems at ASEAN, which may have been because of decisions out of the control of the previous governor, many Thais have said. The previous Governor Suraphol Pongtadsirikul was very popular among the local people in Pattaya. However, the new governor is a good choice, also. Both men are positive people with vision.

Pol. Col. Dr. Sarayuth Sanguanphokai is the new Superintendent of the Local Pattaya City Police Station.

As of January, Pattaya has the only Doctoral recipient as Chief of Police.

Minister Aumphon Senarong, together with representatives from the "Sen. Thang Magazine", presented the "Good People in Thai Society" award to Police Colonel Anonnat Kamolrat, the Superintendent of the Immigration Department in Pattaya.

Former Thai Prime Minister lost his fight with liver cancer.

The charismatic and likeable former Thai Prime Minister Samak Sunthorawet has sadly lost his fight for survival, dying from liver cancer, aged 74 on November 24.
