BoT Urges Fast Solution to Map Ta Phut Case

The Bank of Thailand (BoT) maintained the policy interest rate at 1.25 per cent annually to favour economic recovery.

Executive directors of Thailand’s Association of Securities Companies will meet early this year to discuss impacts of the move by two securities firms to collect no commission on the excess to a trading amount of Bt20 million, according to an industry executive.

The 10th Money Expo will be once again held in Pattaya with the concept ‘The Road to Wealth’. The event will be held across the four regions of Thailand with Pattaya being the first location.

Due in part to the valiant efforts of Pattaya’s progressive mayor, 19 billion baht in deposits, loans, insurance contracts and other investments were generated in Pattaya in just three days. Pattaya has now joined the circuit for Money Expo 2009 in February.
