Mr. Lon Ballard, the inventor and a local resident, has used 90% reinforced foam construction to offer pedestrian and passenger protection. It can reach speeds of over 110 kph and it is unsinkable. It floated like a boat during safety testing in the ocean.

Thailand’s First Hybrid Car Unveiled in Pattaya

The Eastern Seaboard is leading Thailand in manufacturing the first hybrid car for sale to the public. Assembled at the Toyota Motor Company plant here in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate the new car will deal with the current environmental crisis by offering an alternative energy choice for drivers and spur the economy by increasing manufacturing output at the plant.

At the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Meeting (APEC), held in Singapore, the Director- General of the Foreign Trade Department, Nantawan Sakultanak announced that Thailand and Peru are preparing to sign a Free Trade Area agreement which will eliminate the to 70% tax products from Thailand are currently subject to.

Thai and Chinese SMEs Nets Over 1,000 Million Baht

The Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion (OSMEP) commissioners were delighted and impressed by their successful trip to China to lead Thai Food and Jewelry SMEs entrepreneurs to meet with Chinese investors at China’s Sernchern, Kwangchao, and Kwangdung cities. This trip is expected to result more than 1,000 million baht worth of transactions. In addition, 35 Chinese jewelry investors have agreed to visit and participate in the upcoming 44th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, on September 15 – 19.
