Excise Department’s Strategy

The Chonburi Excise Department from Region 2 recently held a conference to realize and study the current excise problems before planning to draw up an Excise Information Strategy. It was chaired by Miss Suchitra Laohawattanapinyo at the Tide Resort, Bangsaen beach.

 

A local attorney in Pattaya says consumers in Thailand, regardless of nationality, can do something about unfair contracts, products or services at any court nationwide through the 2008 Consumer Case Procedures Act and those affected by recent scams where buyers made deposits and got receipts can pursue claims in criminal court and civil court. They can also more easily complain to the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) directly.
