Short-movie Competition to Inform Public on Dangers of Cyberworld

The Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) has joined with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and the Research Institute of Thammasat University to launch a short-movie and video clip competition in a bid to stimulate the creativity of Thai youth and educate them as well about online media dangers.

The list yet again recognizes individual hotels worldwide that consistently deliver excellent service, notable value and a great overall experience. The full list represents only a small percentage of the world’s top hotels and resorts from the more than 110,000 properties offered on Expedia.

The Department of Skills Development recently held a seminar to improve the skills of the disabled people as well as teach them to become more driven in the workforce in hopes to open them up to more opportunities. The Labor Minister also confirmed that disabled people have the same rights in the work place and also guaranteed to help improve the skills of the disabled as well.

Pawn shop owners have been experiencing a sharp rise in business as people are pawning their goods more than usual during the World Cup so they can gamble on the results.

Mrs. Yanee Lertklai, Deputy Director for the Department of Social Development and Welfare as she addresses about human trafficking prevention in front of representative from all over Thailand.

The second ‘Stop Human Trafficking’ Seminar in Pattaya was recently held in which attendees were educated about understanding human trafficking and how it can be prevented.

New British Counselor Selected

Well-known Pattaya Tourist Police  Assistant Leader Howard Miller is the new Honorary British Counselor for Pattaya and the region.

The British Embassy in Bangkok has selected Howard Miller to replace retiring Honorary British Counselor for Pattaya and the region Barry Kenyan to oversee the British Honorary Consulate Pattaya located on Jomtien Soi 5.

One of the new high-tech buses at Rung Ruang bus station which now offers a direct route to Koh Samui.

With the growing demands of travelers wishing to go to Koh Samui, Pattaya Rung Ruang bus company recently launched a new direct route from Pattaya to Koh Samui which leaves the Pattaya Nua Bus Station every day at 6:00 pm.
