The Pattaya Halloween Festival was held on October 30-31 with a party along Beach Road. There was a ‘Halloween Fancy Contest’ and performances from GMM Grammy artists for the thousands of local citizens and foreigners who dressed their ‘worst’ for the event.

Central Festival Pattaya Beach is the first and only cinema in Asia to offer the newest technological experience: 4D Motion Ride.

Eighteen beauties, finalists in the Miss Thailand 2009 beauty contest, were in Pattaya for three days in preparation for the final competition which will be held on october 28.

Pack your toothbrush and your Speedos and get to beautiful Koh Samui, which will serve as the backdrop for gCircuit’s Samui Fantasia 2009. The mega celebration, which will take place November 27-28, will be held along the beach under the moonlight. There will also be elaborate sound and light effects.

The modern pub on the beach, BUB, was recently opened for Pattaya residents, as well as, Thai and foreign tourists. It claims to be Pattaya is leading night entertainment venue featuring and decorated in a 60s atmosphere under the concept of "Down Bubble Music Factory" - a decorative style created by mixing the 60s beach and Marine Industrial motifs; feeling the underwater world through many scientific machines.

For the past hour or so I have been sitting on the concrete steps that lead to the water’s edge overlooking the ocean. I have been motionless for several minutes watching the sun creep slowly behind the clouds that hang low in the Western sky. I have been thinking of how is it possible for a man to feel so much at home in a foreign country, that only a short time ago he knew so very little about.
