Dr. Wirawat Kakai, Pattaya Deputy Mayor, awards diplomas to teachers of Pattaya City schools after their completion of the Tablet Training Program for Educational Development.
Pattaya has begun organizing, training and awarding diplomas to personnel and Grade-1 elementary school teachers after they completed a course on the use of tablet computers, prior to introducing these new learning aids which aim to enhance the educational development of their students.
Last week, Mr. Wirawat Kakai, Pattaya Deputy Mayor, in his capacity as acting Education Chairman, awarded diplomas to personnel and Grade-1 elementary school teachers in Pattaya who have completed the course.
During her address, Mrs. Jintana Mansuri, Pattaya’s Director of Education, noted that the government has a policy for improving the educational development of all its students, especially at the elementary level, as students at this level are at an ideal age for computer learning and enhancing their knowledge with the use of computer technology. With this in mind, the city organized the project covering the use of these tablets for teaching purposes by educational personnel directly involved in their use. The tablet will feature multimedia pictures, audio and video, and teach pupils the correct use of such tools.
A total of 45 educational personnel from Pattaya participated in the course and to date the city has received a total of 1,410 Tablets which will be distributed to first grade elementary schools.
