To improve police coverage of Pattaya City and enhance the security of city residents and tourists, a new patrol vehicle has been delivered to the police administrative office in Banglamung District.

Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem, Pattaya Mayor and Mr. Wuthipol Charoenpol, representative of the Pattaya Permanent Secretary’s Office, acted as co-chairmen to deliver the  pick-up truck  priced at 786,000 Baht to Mr. Chawalit Sang-Uthai, Banglamung District Chief.  The truck will  be used as a patrol vehicle, assisting administrative officers and volunteers of the Banglamung District  to increase their profile on city streets.

Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem said that Pattaya City has a policy aimed at ensuring the safety of its citizens and tourists within the city limits. This security is being carried out with the integration and cooperation of other agencies in the area.  The use of the patrol vehicle will also cover drugs surveillance, monitoring entertainment venues, the safety of residents and tourists, and contributing toward the reduction of crime rates.

Mr. Chawalit Sang-Uthai pointed out that, as well as the vehicle’s standard use as a patrol car, it will be used for other activities and events held by the city.
