Kunplome Re-Elected Chairman of Chonburi

An elder brother of popular Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome was reelected as the Chairman of the Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization.



Wittaya Kunplome, who controls an annual budget of US$5 billion as the Chairman of Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization was reelected in a landslide.

The electoral battle was against Pramuan Aempiam from the Democrat Party. Wittaya received 248,764 votes, while Pramuan received only 126,866 votes.

In the previous term, Pattaya businessman Raywat Phonluken was the Vice Chairman to Chairman Kunplume.

On the ticket with Chairman Kunplome is the newly elected member of the Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization Sakorn Phonluken.

 Sakon is one of Raywats’ twin sons; Nakorn Phonluken is the other twin who is currently a member of the Pattaya City Council.

The Kunplome and Phonluken families have served the people of Chonburi and Pattaya for many years.

Also, the Kunplomes have the distinction of Thailand's first ever Minister of Tourism and Sports, eldest brother Sontia Kunplome.

His wife Sukumon Kunplome is currently the Minister of Culture Thailand.
