Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Celebrates Their 17th Anniversary

Mr. Sultan Kosen has been the world’s tallest man since 2008.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! recently celebrated their 17th year anniversary in-style where they featured some of the worlds amazing individuals such as the world’s tallest man.
Mr. Somporn Naksuthrong, Senior Vice President of Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya said, “Ripley’s Believe It or Not! has been opened since 1995 and has always held its position as one of Pattaya’s most popular tourist attractions. With this year being its 17th year anniversary, we decided to present to Pattaya the worlds’ tallest man, Mr. Sultan Kosen from Turkey.”
Mr. Sultan Kosen, 29 years old, has been in the Guinness Book of World Records for the tallest man in the world since 2008 with the height of 251 centimeters. No one has beaten his record yet. This is the first time he visited Thailand where his individuality vowed the crowd.
Apart from Mr. Sultan, there were also other Ripley’s Believe It or Not! ambassadors there that day such as Net, known as the “Wolf Girl”; the Scorpion Queen; the Centipede King; the Penguin Man; King Cobra; the Iron Hand Man; and Malee, Thailand’s tallest woman who also brought along Mamaew, the girl that never stops growing.
Net, aka the Wolf Girl, has long hair covering her face and body like a wolf; the Scorpion Queen and the Centipede King are the longest couple ever to live with poison creatures; the Penguin Man is an armless man who vowed the crowd by drawing with his feet; King Cobra is the man who kissed a snake for the longest time, the Iron Hand Man fries chicken in boiling hot oil with his bare hands.
As for newbie Mameaw, she hasn’t stopped growing and is currently 190 centimeters.
Mr. Sultan said, “This is my first time in Thailand and I’m very excited. My height has never been a problem for me. Things like clothes and shoes I have to order them specially. I am glad to have met Malee and Mamaew who are going through the same thing as me. I understand them completely.”
To celebrate their birthday, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! welcomed children from the Father Ray Foundation and showed them around the museum for free.
The Scorpion Queen and the Centipede King have spent the longest time living with poison creatures.
King Cobra is the man who kissed a snake for the longest time.
