New technology to be used to prevent long queues at Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport.

As reported in the Pattaya Times in June, 2010, the Thailand Immigration Bureau of the Royal Thai Police will start using auto-gatesat Suvarnabhumi Airport  for all passengers this year. The gates specifically for Thai passengers will be in place in about six weeks in an effort to eliminate long queues as tired, arriving passengers await their turns to present their Thai passports, return their TM 6 white arrival card and are scanned at photographed for a record of their presence in Thailand. The gates will also be installed for departing Thai passengers at zones B and C.
