Pattaya Creates More Green Space by Planting 999 Trees

Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome plants a Peacock’s Crest at the area near Pattaya train station.

November 25 saw Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome together with elected members of the council and representatives of student organizations begin a green project that will see 999 trees planted throughout Pattaya, as part of the celebrations in honor of the birthday of His Majesty the King.

Mayor Itthiphol said that this project is also designed to help the environment and to make the city a more green and pleasant place for visitors and residents.

To date about 500 trees have been planted, mostly alongside the railroad, and including species such as Peacock's Crest, Golden Shower, and Baywood.
