Mayor Itthiphol and Pattaya Aid Team Visit Flood-Hit Wang Noi
Pattaya City Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, together with City attorney Sirichai Suteevirakajorn and Supian Chuengkriangkrai, the chief justice of Pattaya traveled to Wang Noi district in Ayutthaya province to help distribute relief supplies to victims of the floods.
Rice, canned food, milk for children, clothes, medicine, mobile toilets and consumer goods were on the list of supplies, which numbered about a thousand items.
The Pattaya team found that there are still some residents of Wang Noi who have refused to evacuate their homes, despite the refuge center that has been established there at Wat Nomprasong.
Aid workers were
therefore having to take supplies into heavily flooded residential areas, where
the water in some cases is two meters deep.
The conditions there for those who have not moved out are exceptionally difficult, because there is no electricity or clean water for consumption.
Mayor Itthiphol said that Wang Noi is the district that has suffered most from the flooding in Ayutthaya province.
He said that Pattaya City would continue to offer aid and moral support to the residents.

Many residents of Wang Noi have refused to leave their flooded homes and supplies are taken to them by boat.
