Pattaya’s Floating Market Prepares Land Boats to Help Flood Victims

Amphibious boats such as those used at Pattaya’s Four Regions Floating Market can be used to help flood victims, says the market’s executive director Manas Meepong.

Staging a press conference on November 10, Mr Manas said that as the boats can operate on both land and water, they would be in a unique situation to help in flooded areas.

“These boats can pack a lot of goods as well as 30 people in maximum without any danger,” he said.

“At present we have only one boat but we are making three more in order to help the flood victims and also to enhance the image of Pattaya tourism.”
