Andrew Drummond Sought by Police to Answer Charges
Following contact from Thai police and private investigators newspapers around the world are distancing themselves from claims by "yellow" (sensational, muckraking) journalist Andrew Drummond that Drummond writes for them. Drummond even shows the banners of these newspapers on the first page of his one man blog, hate website without the knowledge or approval of the newspapers; just to fool his readers into thinking he is reputable.
He did however have a stint with News of the World whose banner he also had on his site, but after the tabloid newspaper was shut down for writing the kind of defamatory reports as Drummond and using illegal tapes and hacking to get information, Drummond removed the News of the World banner from his front page of his blog.
He also used to show the Bangkok Post banner, but was forced to remove it after he involved the credible Bangkok Post in a law suit which Drummond lost for lying about businessmen in Thailand. Andrew Drummond controls who posts to his site and is known to use at least 14 different names to post to his own articles to incite comments from sleepy bloggers.
In Drummond's own story which he may have written using the
pen name of his "photographer" he admits at the end of the eighth
paragraph that Drummond received two, two year prison sentences for lying about
Pattaya businessmen a few years ago in several newspapers. See the Andrew Chant
article how Drummond twists his prison conviction into a victory:

"These
banners of prominent newspapers he has illegally put on his site to give him
credibility will come down one way or another. Our investigation shows Drummond
is unemployed and does not work for these newspapers," said a lawyer
representing one of seven new plaintiffs against Andrew Drummond for defamation
and lying to hurt reputations and businesses of foreign businessmen and Thai
officials.
One of
two plaintiffs who already won a million baht civil court judgment in Thailand
against Drummond says, "We are looking for his assets, but beside his car
which we already got a couple of years ago, there is little value to him. He
can barely pay his rent on his small house. But we will follow him and get the
money he owes us even if we have to file more criminal charges for defaulting
on the court ordered payment he must make to us.”
Thai
police are continuing a massive investigation into a myriad of lies and
defamatory statements made by Andrew Drummond on his one man blog against Thai
officials, Thai government organizations and business people and Thai
companies. The attacks are for no purpose but to destroy the reputations of
many Thai and foreigners making positive contributions to Thai society.
Investigators
say they have discovered that at least 14 of the names used to post supportive
statements made by Drummond in his blogs are in fact Andrew Drummond himself.
However, when the police and cybercrimes get the list of email addresses
associated with blog names then the true identities of those who have defamed
and committed libel will be unveiled and further arrests may be forthcoming.
Andrew
Drummond has defied a order by the Thailand based web hosting company which
ordered him to remove false content from his website or they would close down
his site.
The web
host acted following an official letter to the hosting company from Thai police
who are gathering all of the mounting evidence to arrest Drummond and get him
convicted of the many defamatory and libelous crimes he has committed.
No
one understands why. He has no income to speak of and
no followers except other disgruntled foreigners with no future who
sit and blog along with him like sheep.
Andrew
Drummond admits that in one of his many criminal cases "I was
fingerprinted, jailed, and forbidden to leave the country." See http://cpj.org/2004/07/cpj-condemns-criminal-defamation-suits.php
There is
not one positive story on his entire blog. The cyber crimes division
of the Royal Thai Police, the Ministry of Information and Computer
Technology, the Pattaya Police and the Bangkok Police are all
investigating Andrew Drummond and has asked the hosting company to
remove the site. This will take time.
Andrew Drummond is investigated by a Thailand forum and his education and
credentials are falsely exaggerated by Andrew Drummond according to the article
