Centara Announces Second Resort in Krabi

Centara Anda Dhevi Resort & Spa Krabi is a newly built four-star property situated in extensive grounds and spread across five low-rise buildings.

Just 100 metres away from the sands of Nopparat Thara Beach, the resort is also conveniently close to the centre of Ao Nang, famous for its tourist sites, and shopping and entertainment facilities.

Centara signed a management contract for the property with Anda Dhevi Resort and Spa Company Limited in January 2011.

This is a significant move in our strategic growth programme of acquiring high-quality new properties through management contracts.” according to Chris Bailey, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Centara Hotels & Resorts.

He added that although the new resort is situated near to the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi, located at Pai Plong Bay, the two are not competing for the same market.

“The two resorts in fact represent two different segments of the tourism market, and consequently they complement each other,” he says. “We now cover a broader range in the increasingly popular resort of Krabi, and this makes us stronger in Southern Thailand.”

The resort offers 135 rooms and suites, each room offering a furnished balcony or terrace and a spacious private bathroom.

The accommodation consists of 72 Deluxe Garden View rooms ranging in size from 36 to 40sqm, 50 Deluxe Pool View rooms at 42sqm, one Family Suite Pool View at 83sqm, 11 Deluxe Pool Access rooms at 46sqm, and one Honeymoon Suite Pool Access room at 92sqm.

Leisure facilities include a 43-metre-long swimming pool with waterslides and Coco’s swim-up bar, a children’s pool, Camp Safari kids’ club, fitness centre and a SPA Cenvaree.

The resort is designed with two meeting and events rooms both fully equipped as convention rooms. The first room is suitable to accommodate up to 200 guests and the second room up to 80 people.

Krabi International Airport is only 40 minutes away while guests can also easily reach Ao Nang Pier, from where boats go to nearby islands including Phi Phi and Phuket.
