Marriage Visa in Thailand by Drew Noyes
Dear Drew Noyes, At the moment I have a retirement visa, but have been told a marriage visa would be of benefit for me. Please could you advise me on this. Thank you. John
Dear John,
If you will always have 800,000 baht of
income from outside of Thailand or that much money in your Thai bank here, then
a retirement visa is easier to keep because you will always be over 50, but you
might not always be married.
However, if you have limited income from a
pension or otherwise from outside of Thailand and can only meet the 400,000
baht requirement per year for funds needed to qualify as having enough money to be married to a Thai, then apply for
the married to a Thai visa and be really nice to your wife!
Best wishes,
Drew Noyes
