Media Poles Planted in Pattaya First in Thailand
Mr. Rho Sunguen, Vice President of the All Four Land Company, Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and Mr. Sung Dongwen, President of the All Four Land Comapny after signing an agreement for the installation of the media poles in Pattaya.
Touch screen media poles will be planted in Pattaya displaying important information as well as advertisements for tourists.
Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome recently signed
an agreement with a Korean company that specializes in IT and media poles in
Korea to have a media poles planted throughout Pattaya.
“The information poles are rectangular and are 6
meters high and about a meter wide. They are equipped with modern LED and LCD
screens that will broadcast images and information about Pattaya and its
tourist destinations. The poles will also be installed with a high resolution
CCTV that can rotate 360 degrees and record every action 24 hours a day,”
explained Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol.
“The poles are touch screen so tourists can
search for maps, take photos and access the Internet. Pattaya will be the first
city in Thailand to have media poles installed. The poles will be placed along
main roads as well as in shopping centers and popular government buildings. If
successful the media poles will also be planted in Bangkok,” he added.
The media poles will certainly add convenience for tourists
to search for directions and tourist destinations. The poles will also feature
news, weather and hotels and restaurant information.
