Chinese New Year Celebrated All Throughout Pattaya

This year’s Chinese New Year (the year of the gold rabbit) was celebrated all throughout Pattaya. People of all nationalities were seen dressed in red and gold during the three-day long celebration as red and gold are known as the lucky colors for the Chinese.
In the picture is Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome as he’s accepting a disco ball after the lion performance held at Larn Pho Market in Naklua. The Pattaya Mayor also participated in a Chinese New Year parade where Chinese music was played while dancers and entertainers put on an amazing show for hundreds of onlookers along the side of the street.
Central Festival Pattaya Beach also celebrated Chinese New Year by bringing performers all the way from five provinces of China; Beijing, Guangzhou, Inner Mongolia, Xin Jing province and students from the University Cultural Center of Chong Ju Yiem Sia.
There was a spectacular performance by Chinese artists who traveled to Pattaya especially for the New Year.
