The Ploenchit Fair is a family fun day based on a traditional British family fairground and has been held annually for 53 years. It is one of the biggest events of the social calendar. It features an enormous array of outdoor attractions and entertainment as well as market vendors with an array of goods, stimulating activities for children and adults, including Go-Karts, Euro Bungy and Giant Wave Slide just to mention a few. Thai, British and International cuisine and refreshments are available throughout the grounds and there is a full afternoon schedule of live entertainment on the riverside stage.
The Grand Raffle, organized by the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT), is the single largest financial contributor to the Fair. It raises about 5 million baht for the needy in Thailand and the Grand Raffle contributes 1.04 million last year.
You can contribute to the fair by buying a raffle ticket priced at 20 baht each from the Pattaya Times office located at 448/21 Threpprasit Road. We are located right opposite Siam Commercial Bank on Threpprasit Road where the weekend night market is held.
