New York Pizza House
Located right in the
heart of Pattaya at Windmill Plaza on Pattaya-Naklua road is where you say
goodbye to your knife and fork and enjoy eating pizzas the American way –with
your hands.
Before I made a decision
about which out of their eight specialty house pizzas to order I decided to try
their New York style Buffalo wings first. I am a big fan of Buffalo wings and
up until I visited the New York Pizza House I had never had ones that are as
good as Hooters buffalo wings in America. Five wings cost 99 baht or you can
get 10 for 159 baht, 20 for 299 baht and even 30 wings for 439 baht. You can
also pick which level of spicyness you want your wings. Since I’m Thai and like
things hot I got the “Hot” level. It turned out not to be hot at all, it was
just right. The chicken was tender and very saucy. So now I no longer have to
crave Hooters Buffalo wings I can just go to New York Pizza House for Buffalo
wings that are even better and healthier as their chicken is baked not fried.
When it was time for me
to order a pizza I already knew what I wanted. I loved their buffalo wings so I
was curious to see how they would taste in a pizza form so I ordered their
Chicken Wing Pizza (six slices ‘medium’ for 250 baht or eight slices ‘large’
for 340 baht). This kind of pizza you can’t get anywhere else. The pizza was
rich in homemade chicken wing sauce topped with the right amount of cheese that
stretches for miles. There are many
Italian pizza places in Pattaya as well as Thai franchised-pizza
restaurants but I strongly recommend you to try New York Pizza House as it’s
very different.
Another pizza we shared was one of their most popular, the
“Mr. C Favorite” (six slices ‘medium’ for 280 baht or eight slices ‘large’ for
385 baht). Within 15 minutes came a thin-crust pizza with tomato sauce,
mozzarella cheese, real and visible pepperoni, Italian sausage, topped with
onions and garlic, I was drooling. With just the first bite of this pizza I was
in a different world and came back with four slices in my stomach without even
realizing.
Other house specialties
guaranteed to excite your taste buds are their White Garlic Pizza Deluxe,
Hawaiian pizza, Western Pizza and of course, the New York Pizza.
If these names bore you
then you can just design your own pizza. There are seven meat and 11 vegetable
options for you to choose from and you can pick the type of sauce you want.
They have tomato sauce, barbeque sauce or pizza made with white garlic. You can
tell the chef (also Manager Chokchai Jatuorn) exactly how you want it; extra sauce,
extra thick or extra cheese etc.
If you don’t like
pizza then their Spaghetti Meatballs or
Fettuccine Alfredo won’t disappoint you.
If you are a health-freak
then there are five different kinds of salads available that won’t dissolve
your six-pack as well.
What I like about New
York Pizza House is their open kitchen. You can see everything that the chef is
doing and what he’s putting in your food. The restaurant is decorated very
simply and relaxed with dimmed lights so you don’t have to worry about looking
your best and using the right knife or fork.
They can seat up to 20
people inside and 16 people outside.
New York Pizza House is
open everyday from 3pm to midnight. They also do deliveries to anywhere in
Pattaya for just 30 baht; call 038-370 122.
With over 50 mother branches in just New York itself under the name “Pontillo” and experienced chefs all the way from New York, they surely know what they are doing!

One of the most popular menus not available anywhere else is their chicken wing pizza
.

Mr. C's Favourite pizza topping.

Must-try buffalo wings.

New York Pizza House has been open for less than two months and has already been marked as one of the best pizza places by many food lovers.
