Cerebos Pacific Limited has just opened a new 1.2 billion baht facility in Chonburi. They are the largest producer of bottled bird's nest tonic under the Brand's name.

The nests of the cave swiftlet are prized throughout Asia for their reported health benefits. A kilo of unprocessed raw bird's nest costs around 96,000 baht.

Phuket and Krabi are leading producers of bird's nests, while there are other sources on the Eastern Seaboard as well. This is one reason why Brand's, which produces bottled bird's nest beverage, chose to expand its operations to Chonburi

Crown Princess Sirindhorn inaugurated the new facility, the world's largest just a little outside of Pattaya.

Top management said the timing of the new investment was not affected by Thailand's recent trend of political instability.

Eiji Koike, president and CEO of Cerebos Pacific Limited said, "People's sentiment obviously will be affected by uncertainty because of the political situation. People understand how they need to protect themselves from potential sickness. Our product, our business has been well fitted to the trend among the consumers."

The new factory features some innovative technology, guaranteeing that a safe and high-quality product reaches customers.

Another advance is precision scales, since bird's nest can be tricky to measure accurately.

Due to its high price, there are fake bird's nest out there, but in this factory, a sort of DNA testing is used to make sure every batch is genuine.

The new factory also uses green technology such as solar cells and re-use of water in production lines, thus reducing its impact on the environment.
