Pattaya City Hospital Nearing Completion

With a 177 million baht budget already approved and spent for the construction of the Pattaya City Hospital, another 200 million baht is to be granted for interior decoration and the purchase of the best medical equipment available.

The Pattaya City Hospital will have five stories and 82 beds.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Weerawat Khakai recently led a group from the Pattaya Times on a tour of the soon-to-be leading hospital in Pattaya.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Weerawat said, “The construction of the hospital began on March 19, 2009. We are hoping that the construction of the building will be completed by October 9 of this year so that we can use the rest of the year for interior decoration and the equipment fit out.”

“We are already 85 percent complete. What we have to do now is just the minor things like, tiling, installing windows and finishing the roof,” he added.

The hospital is expected to be completed before the planned date. The first floor of the hospital will be an emergency area, primary check-up area, payment area and a pharmaceutical center. The second floor will be the specialist medical services area with ophthalmologists, a dental clinic and major and minor operating rooms. The third floor will be the patient’s rooms for overnight stays with a separate area for patients with serious diseases. The fifth floor will be offices for hospital staff, a meeting room and a conference room.
