Government Housing Bank Helps Father Ray

The Government Housing Bank recently visited the Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
Many large national and multi-national companies will have a department solely dealing with CSR, and whilst many may see this idea just as a way of businesses giving back to society, for the companies involved in it is much more.
In times of worldwide financial crisis’ it makes sense for companies to take a closer look at the welfare of its employees, the local community and society at large, and think beyond the usual drive for profit.
Led by Khun Khan Prachuabmoh, President of the Government Housing Bank, employees spent a morning with the students. This was the second time Khun Khan has visited the Father Ray Foundation, the first time being early this year in February when he presented a donation of 100,000 baht which went to pay for the much needed security outside electrical lighting at the Father Ray Children’s Village.
A special lunch was enjoyed by the students, paid for by the Government Housing Bank and provided by McDonalds, and prior to leaving Khun Khan watched a performance by the School’s wheelchair dance troupe before presenting a donation to Father Peter, Acting President of the Father Ray Foundation.
