Ever since the movie The Hangover became a hit worldwide, we knew there would have to be a sequel. For those of you who have not seen this movie, it is a Las Vegas-set comedy centered around three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-wed buddy during their drunken misadventures, then must retrace their steps in order to find him.

The movie was first released in June 2009 in America and in Thailand in July and became an instant hit. Very shortly after the film topped the box office, talk began that the sequel might take place in Thailand. The rumour might have started from the film’s breakout star Zach Galifianakis, who said, “I think the sequel is going to be in a foreign country, and I think it has to be in an exotic place like Asia.”

This rumour has now been confirmed with the production team moving to Thailand with a script that sees the characters traveling to Asia with most parts of the movie focusing on Thailand’s popular night life.Parts of the film will be shot in Pattaya which has seen many films being shot here during the last three years. The primary cast of the first film Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and Galifianakis are signed and will return.
