The research scientists took off their lab coats and safety glasses and got down and dirty to repaint the school buildings as well as donating sporting equipment, stationery and textbooks. The students welcomed the team with a traditional Thai drum dance in which the scientists joined in. The students were given free medical check-ups and a brief lecture about how to handle minor injuries as well. After a nutritious lunch organized by Peter Thorand, President of the Navy League of the United States, Eastern Seaboard Council the students and the researchers enjoyed a few soccer games, volleyball matches and badminton in which the students won every game.
