Siam Bayshore Resort Holds Chang ITF Tournament

This week-long women lawn tennis competition was a point collection competition in which the female players collected points for the world ranking. There were over 80 professional female tennis players from over 12 countries who competed such as Japan, Korea, India, New Zealand and Russia to name a few.

Thailand was represented by leading female lawn tennis players  Nudnida Luangnam, Nichart Lertpitaksinchai and Waratchaya Wongtienchai as well as many other players.

There was a singles and a double category.

As for the results; the doubles category was won by Yi Chen from Taipei together with Sakiko Shimizu from Japan who competed with Jessy Rompies from India and our very own Varatchaya Wongteanchai.

The singles category was between Shiho Akita from Japan and Nudnida Luangnam from Thailand. Nudnida was defeated by Akita with the score of 6-4 and 6-3. Nudnida is currently holding the 427th position in the world while Akita is 311.
They will now head to Songkla province for the next point collection match soon to be held.
