Final Teams Unveiled in Thai Premier League

After months of teams battling each other for the championship title for this year’s Thai Premier League and with the season is already half way through, Maung Thong United has collected many points putting the team way ahead of Chonburi FC. Pattaya United has also played some amazing games making it to the top five teams of the season.



During the recent match between Pattaya United and Srisaket FC which was played in Srisaket province both teams used their best players. This match was the 15th match of the Thai Premier League and also the last match of the first half of the season. Players from both teams battled and no one was able to score until the 32nd minutes of the game until Nithiphon Phetwiset from Srisaket FC scored the first goal. During the second half of the game Srisaket FC played  hard but Akekaparn Jindaporn was able to score the first goal for Pattaya United. The spectators were left anticipating who would score the next goal,with Pattaya United left with only 10 players after Teerakevin Srihawong was given a red card.  Just two minutes later, Sunthi Chaiyapuak followed with a red card leaving Pattaya United on the field with just nine players.
With two players short, Pattaya United was still able to maintain the tie with Srisaket of 1-1. Both teams received one more point. Pattaya United has competed in 15 matches, winning 7, tied 4 and lost 4 games holding 25 points ranking 5th in the league.

As for Chonburi FC, their recent match was played with Osotspa Saraburi. This was their 13th match in which Chonburi was looking to score three goals to move up in the rankings. However, both teams played well and tied with no goals being scored. So far, Chonburi FC has 23 points under its belt, just 6 points behind Muang Thong United holding the second spot in this year’s Thai Premier League. Chonburi FC still has a chance to beat Muang Thong United though as they have competed in one less match.  

The five final teams for this year’s Thai Premier League are Muang Thong United in first place with 35 points, Chonburi FC at second place with 29 points, Buriram PEA in third place with 27 points, Thai Port in fourth place with 26 points followed closely by Pattaya United in fifth place with 25 points.

The upcoming match for Pattaya United is with TOT-CAT at the Nongprue Football Field on July 18. On the same day Chonburi FC will also be competing with Thai Port at the PAT stadium.

On July 25 is the match between Pattaya United and Rajnavy Rayong which will also be played at 5pm at the Nongprue Football Field. On July 28 is the match between Chonburi FC and Pattaya United at 6pm at the IPE Chonburi Stadium.
