Pattaya is to receive assistance from the government to improve tourism by organizing on-going events and exhibitions as well as coming up with more promotional campaigns.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Ekkasing says business owners in the city can expect major improvements to tourism very soon.

“Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome has already put forward a tourism development plan to Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and is now also looking for other opportunities to host tourism exhibitions and events,” said Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronnakit.

City Hall is also teaming up with the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association (PBTA) and the Thai Hotels Association-Eastern Chapter (THA-E) to host a tourism road show and a Pattaya Grand Sale from July until September. Business and hotel owners in Pattaya will also be offering cheap packages plus other valuable deals.

“Our road show project and the Pattaya Grand Sale project have received great feedback so far with over 7,000 people applying to receive special deals,” added Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronnakit.
