Hard Rock Café Turns 39

Hard Rock Café recently celebrated their 39th birthday by cleaning the Pattaya Beach and then partying it up with a live rock concert from a band called ‘Black Head’.
Mr. Jorge Carlos Smith, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya led a group of good-hearted volunteers who came out to help clean the Pattaya Beach. There were over one hundred volunteers consisting of Pattaya City officials along with staff from the Hard Rock Hotel in association with the Marisa Cosgrove Foundation and the Ban Amphur School students. Everyone enthusiastically picked up rubbish stretching from the Tropicana Hotel all the way to the Central Pattaya intersection.
After a morning of cleaning the beach everyone enjoyed a poolside beach party in which the DJ put on his best tracks to entertain the crowd. The evening consisted of a live concert from the famous Thai rock group ‘Blackhead’. The celebration was held under as a 60s and 70s themed event in which everyone came in their best oldies costumes. There was also a giant hamburger eating competition. The night ended with the birthday candles being blown out and guests enjoying the delicious cake.
Hard Rock Café first opened in London in 1971 with its signature Rock n’ Roll theme. From the start it was a hit and in 1982 new venues were opened in many major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, New York, Dallas, Boston, Washington, DC, Orlando, Paris, Manila and Berlin. Today the group has expanded to over 100 Hard Rock Cafés in 53 countries.
